Six individuals were swiftly taken to the hospital following a terrifying multi-vehicle collision in a small town in Victoria.
A teenage girl and a man are in critical condition, battling for their lives.
The collision unfolded when a Toyota Camry purportedly disregarded a stop sign, leading to a collision with two other vehicles at the junction of New Dookie and Boundary roads in Pine Lodge around 6:20 PM on Friday.
Six individuals sustained injuries in the accident and were transported to the hospital, where a 17-year-old girl and a 32-year-old man are currently in critical condition.
The 30-year-old driver of the Camry is also still being treated in hospital.
As Victoria Police Detective Sergeant Lee Barton urges drivers to prioritize safety on the roads, police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Barton emphasized, “Last year, there were several severe collisions in rural areas that could have been prevented if drivers had just slowed down and remained more attentive to the road and its signage. Ultimately, it’s the driver’s duty to ensure safety.”
