Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that he will support the establishment of the National University of Medical Sciences.
Addressing the fourth convocation ceremony of Sudurpaschim University, he said that after the establishment of the National University of Medical Sciences in Geta, access to specialist treatment services can be ensured in the Sudurpaschim region.
“Realizing the lack of access to higher technical education in the region, the government has decided to establish Shahid Dashrath Chand National University of Medical Sciences at Geta in Kailali,” said the Prime Minister, adding, “Works including legislation for establishing the university are progressing rapidly.” He expressed his belief that the university to be established in Geta will prove to be a milestone in the development of this region.
Likewise, Prime Minister Prachanda said that the academic quality of the university should be kept high. He emphasized that the university should become a center of study and research attraction for everyone.
“In order to raise the academic level of the university, there is a need for all professors, staff and students to strengthen cooperation, cooperation and harmony with each other,” Prime Minister Prachanda said, “The government of Nepal has always been positive for the necessary support to upgrade the university.
The Prime Minister pointed out the need for the leadership of the university to develop as an excellent educational institution in cooperation with other prestigious universities of the world by expanding the activities related to physical and educational improvements and student welfare.
