Kathmandu – Karnali and Wagmati Pradesh have won the third consecutive victory in Veer Ganeshman Singh Cup National T-20 Men’s Cricket. In the fourth match, Karnali beat Gandaki Pradesh by 5 runs.

Karnali, who won the toss at the upper Moolpani ground, scored 168 runs after losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. Player of the match opener Bipin Rawal scored the highest 68 runs in Karnali’s innings. Rabindranjung Shahi added 33 runs and Dinesh Adhikari added 29 unbeaten runs. Amrit Gurung took all four wickets of Gandaki.

In response, Gandaki made only 163 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Gandaki opener Arjun Kumal hit 70 runs. Sandeep Khatri scored an unbeaten 19 runs in 11 balls towards the end of the innings but the victory was not enough. Karnali’s Diwan Pun, Prakash Jaisi and Younis Thakuri took 1 wicket each.

Bagmati beat Lumbini Pradesh by 25 runs and occupied the top of the points table. After winning the toss and deciding to bat, Wagmati lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and made a total of 162 runs. Wagmati captain Rit Gautam scored 56 runs. Ramnaresh Giri scored 28 runs unbeaten and Shubh Kansakar scored 19 runs. Nar Bahadur Sarki of Lumbini took 4 wickets and captain Dev Khanal took 2 wickets.

Lumbini lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and were bowled out for 137 runs. Lumbini’s Krishna Karki scored an unbeaten 38 and Sunil Bhandari scored 34 runs. Rijan Dhakal took the most 3 wickets, Ram Naresh Giri and Ishan Pandey took 1 each. Rit G
