School building inaugurated

Deukhuri (Dang): A new 36-room building of the Padmodaya Public Model School in Bharatpur of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-15 was inaugurated on Friday. Constructed with the financial support of Embassy of India, the building was inaugurated in the presence of the school management committee, Bikas Chaudhary, and first secretary of the Indian Embassy in Nepal, Avinash Kumar Singh. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Mr Singh said that the Government of India is providing such help to fulfill the aspirations of the youth towards education and strengthening the lives of citizens in remote areas.

Chief of District Coordination Committee, Dang Nityanand Sharma said that the support provided by the Indian government in various fields including education, health and infrastructure development has helped to change the lives of Nepal and Nepali people. Mayor of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City, Narulal Chaudhary, lauded the support given by the Government of India in developing the physical infrastructure of the school.

Chief District Officer Rambandhu Subedi suggested proper utilization of the school building for quality of education. The 37-room building was constructed at the cost of Rs 15.9 million.
