Grace Nepalese Diaspora Community (GNDC) is organizing the 3rd Annual Alpha & Omega Inter-Church 5-a-side Futsal Competition on September 22, 2024. Held at the Emerson Futsal Court in Wetherhill Park, Sydney, the competition aims to strengthen ties between the Nepalese Christian community in Australia and enhance the spirit of friendship among the participants.
GNDC is organizing an annual competition with the slogan “Love, Unity and Fraternity”. The competition brought a grand and successful competition with a team of players representing different groups of Sydney and provided encouragement, along with the participation of the pastors and leaders, a larger number of players than last year, along with the participation of sports loving spectators and the competition between the competitors and the group. The existing fraternal relationship is believed to become stronger and the pre-preparation work has started. Information was given by Simon Raj Bhatale, convener of GNDC.
Remember, since 2021, GNDC has been serving the Nepali diaspora community, especially the Nepali Christian communities, with the aim of “serving the Nepali diaspora communities in every field for the benefit and welfare of the community”. GNDC also has its own football club, which has participated in various competitions organized by the Nepali community in Sydney and outside Sydney. Grace FC captain Saran Kshetrile said that the task of spreading the gospel among the non-Christian Nepali communities through the football club is to become a witness to Christ.
After the success of Bigtaka Barsha, GNDC is excited and optimistic for this year’s event. The event will begin at 9 a.m., with a $250 registration fee per time. The organizers have requested the teams to submit their participant list and registration fees by September 15, 2020.
