The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) of Western Australia has announced that all preparations have been completed for the highly anticipated Nepal Festival Perth 2024, scheduled for Saturday, September 14, at Supreme Court Gardens. According to Shekhar Ghimire, the coordinator of NRNA Western Australia, the festival aims to promote Nepali culture, art, and traditions while showcasing the identity of the Nepali community on an international platform.
The festival will kick off at 11 a.m. with a grand cultural rally, involving the participation of various local organizations. The cultural program, starting at 12 p.m., will feature traditional arts, dances, and musical performances from the Gurung, Magar, and Rai communities. The official inauguration will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the chief guest, Education Minister Dr. Antonio (Tony) De Paolo Buti MLA, opening the event. NRNA Australia President Anil Pokhrel, federal MPs, and representatives from various organizations will also be present.
From 4:30 p.m., popular Nepali artists, including Aastha Raut, Badri Pangeni, and The X Band, along with local performers, will entertain the audience with musical performances. The festival will conclude with a grand fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Coordinator Ghimire has confirmed that all preparations are complete, and information about the event has been shared through various media outlets and social networks.
