On Sunday, September 22, the third Alpha & Omega Futsal Tournament, organized by the Grace Nepali Diaspora Community (GNDC), was successfully concluded.
The tournament, held at Endeavour Sports Ground in Fairfield, was led in praise and worship by the choir group of the Hisglory Church. Elder Arun Limbu of the same congregation inaugurated the event with a prayer.
Around 20 teams participated in the tournament, including teams from Sydney, Canberra, Hobart, and Tasmania, along with the organizing team. This year, Sydney’s Trinity Nepali Church claimed the victory.
Similarly, Sydney’s Hisglory Nepali Church became the runner-up, while Hosanna Nepali Church won the Fair Play Award.
In the previous two editions, the competition was limited to congregations from Sydney and Canberra. However, this year, teams from Brisbane and Hobart also participated.
The event concluded with the distribution of trophies and medals to the winners, runner-up teams, and players. The final prayer was delivered by Pastor Jeevan Shrestha of Sydney Nepali Church.
