Kathmandu, Nepal: Slovakian citizen and 34-year-old mountaineer, Ondrej Húserka, who had gone missing in the Langtang Himal, has been found after five days. Húserka is a renowned mountaineer from Slovakia. He was discovered in a ravine over 30 meters deep in the mountains.

He was located in a ravine at an altitude of over 7,000 meters above sea level in Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-3. However, his rescue has proven challenging. According to Keshav Bhattarai, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Chief of the District Police Office in Rasuwa, bad weather conditions prevented a helicopter from reaching him on Monday, making the rescue impossible. The rescue team that went by air found his clothing, sleeping bag, and other items, leading them to his location.

Due to his being trapped in the ravine, a specialist team will be required to conduct the rescue, said DSP Bhattarai. The plan is to mobilize a team with specialists as soon as the weather clears. Marek Holecek, a 50-year-old from the Czech Republic who had also gone missing, managed to establish contact on his own. Another member of the team, 43-year-old German citizen Robert George Newerla, was rescued by the team and is currently receiving treatment in Kathmandu, along with Holecek.
