Donald Trump has been re-elected as the 47th President of the United States. Winning over 270 seats, Trump has secured his second term as president.
Although it was anticipated that there would be a tough competition with Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, Trump won with ease. According to the latest results, Trump secured 277 seats, while Kamala won 224 seats. Eight years ago, Trump became the president by defeating Hillary Clinton, although he was later defeated by Joe Biden in the previous election.
Trump has declared that this will be a golden era for America, stating that he will work in the country’s best interests. “This is a magnificent victory for the American people. It will help make America even more capable. This will be a golden age for America,” he said in his address.
He expressed gratitude to American citizens for granting him this unprecedented victory. He also mentioned that he survived an assassination attempt for this very day. During a campaign rally, he was shot at, but the bullet grazed his ear, allowing him to survive.
Trump affirmed that he would fight with all his strength from the White House. Calling the role of president the most important job in the world, he pledged to fulfill his promises. During his speech, he also praised Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), declaring Musk the “new star” of the Republican Party.
