Sydney, Australia: The Greater Sydney Nepalese Multicultural Centre Inc. (GSNMC) successfully hosted a community interaction program on November 17, bringing together diverse Nepalese and Australian community organizations. Held from 1 PM to 3 PM at Hillsire International College, 16/18 Wentworth Street, Parramatta, the event aimed to promote the organization’s mission of fostering unity and collaboration while celebrating cultural diversity.

Guided by its motto, “Embracing Diversity, Celebrating Culture: A Collective Approach of Nepalese Communities in Sydney,” GSNMC seeks to establish a multicultural hub that integrates Nepalese traditions into Australia’s multicultural society.

The program saw the participation of approximately 100 community members, including prominent figures such as Sangita Chapagain, the NRNA Coordinator from the Women’s Forum, whose presence was a highlight of the event.

“Our vision is to ensure that cultural exchange becomes a bridge for unity and harmony,” said one of the event organizers, emphasizing the importance of promoting inclusivity and coexistence.

This interaction program is part of GSNMC’s broader efforts to address the increasing need for a dedicated space where the growing Nepalese community in Sydney can gather, share their heritage, and contribute to Australia’s multicultural identity.

GSNMC remains committed to organizing similar initiatives to strengthen ties within the Nepalese diaspora and encourage broader multicultural engagement. The event concluded with a collective pledge to build a supportive and inclusive community in Sydney, reflecting the organization’s mission and vision for the future.
