Sydney – Under the theme “For All Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, and Empowerment,” the 115th International Women’s Day is being celebrated worldwide today with various programs. On the occasion of the 115th International Women’s Day, Nepal’s Ambassador to Australia, Chitra Lekha Yadav, extended her best wishes to women across the world at a special event organized by Nari Nikunja in Australia.

Extending her best wishes, Ambassador Yadav emphasized that women must first empower themselves. She stated, “Women are the source of compassion and love. Without compassion and love, this creation cannot move forward. The strongest thread that binds this world together is indeed love and compassion.” She urged everyone not to tolerate any form of discrimination against women and called on all to speak out against discrimination and violence against women. She further added, “When women face difficulties, organizations and institutions must fulfill their responsibility to ensure everyone’s rights and justice.”

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the government, concerned authorities, and various women’s organizations have planned to celebrate the day grandly by organizing different programs. This day aims to recognize the economic, political, and social achievements of women worldwide, expand women’s access to technology, enhance women’s empowerment, and eliminate gender inequality and violence. Additionally, the day also focuses on educating women, making them self-reliant, and ensuring they receive proper respect and recognition.
