Sydney, Australia – With the aim of promoting leadership development and a sense of unity among Nepali youth, the ‘BP Koirala Youth Leadership Development Forum’ in Australia is moving forward with new leadership. The responsibility of the forum’s presidency has been handed over from Ramesh Adhikari to Satya Prakash Kandel.
In a leadership transition program held last Sunday at the NRNA office in Maryland, the founding president and NRNA ICC Global Member, Ramesh Adhikari, officially handed over his position to Satya Prakash Kandel, the former president of the Chitwan Society.
The program saw the notable presence of NRNA Deputy Regional Coordinator Komal Raj Pathak, NRNA NSW Coordinator Binod Kunwar, NAYA President Bipin Thapa, former presidents Nijan Chaulagain and Prakash Aryal, NRNA Australia President Anil Pokhrel, NRNA Central Advisor Dinesh Raj Joshi, and Naresh Bhatt, President of the Public Relations Committee based in Qatar, among others.
Speaking at the program, NRNA President Anil Pokhrel remembered BP Koirala as a source of inspiration for the Nepali community. “BP Koirala is not only a leader of the Nepali Congress but an ideal figure for the entire Nepali society,” he said. “His thoughts and way of life are exemplary.”
Newly appointed President Satya Prakash Kandel expressed his commitment to reorganize the executive committee soon and to present a clear action plan. “We will expand the committee within one to one-and-a-half months,” he stated.
At the conclusion of the program, former president Ramesh Adhikari and new president Kandel jointly expressed gratitude to all the guests and well-wishers, expressing hope for continued support and cooperation in strengthening the forum.
