Sydney – A broad daylight shooting incident occurred today in front of M Brothers Kebab Shop, located next to the Commonwealth Bank in the western suburb of Auburn, Sydney, leaving three people seriously injured. Around 1:15 PM, two masked attackers opened fire indiscriminately, causing panic and fear among local residents.

In the incident, 26-year-old Shamimjan Azari, one of his male associates, and a 50-year-old female staff member were injured. Azari sustained gunshot wounds to his hand and shoulder, while his associate suffered injuries to the face. The female staff member was reportedly shot twice in the abdomen. The injured were immediately rescued and taken to the hospital, and police have stated that their condition is serious.

Following the shooting, a police team from the Auburn Area Command immediately arrived at the scene. According to eyewitnesses, “Suddenly, we heard gunshots and there was chaos all around. After that, there was a rush of police, ambulances, and rescue teams.”

Security around the incident site has been tightened. From helicopters to special police units, all have been mobilized to intensify the investigation. The Commander of Auburn Area Command personally arrived at the scene and is leading the team. The attackers fled in a black BMW with fake number plates. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and conducting a search to track down the suspects.

Deputy Police Commissioner Peter Thurtell described the broad daylight attack in such a crowded area as “unthinkable” and issued a warning of strong action against organized crime. New South Wales Premier Chris Minns stated that the state government will adopt even tougher policies to control organized crime.

Police have urged all eyewitnesses or anyone with information about the incident to contact authorities.
