Farewell Tribute to Singer Ramakrishna Dhakal at Sydney’s Flavors of Nepal Restaurant

Sydney — A special farewell program in honor of renowned singer Ram Krishna Dhakal was held on Tuesday at Flavors of Nepal restaurant in Granville, Sydney. After completing his musical performances in various cities across Australia, this farewell program was organized as the final event, where singer Dhakal was presented with a traditional khada scarf and a certificate of appreciation.

The event, organized by restaurant owner Rajesh KC and journalist Rajan Ghimire, saw singer Dhakal expressing his gratitude for the love and support he received from the Nepali audience in Australia throughout his musical journey. Amid a large crowd of attendees, he performed some of his popular songs. Notably, songs like “Orali Lagako Harinko Chal Bho” and “Ae Maya Jadaun” filled the atmosphere with music. He also performed immortal songs by singer Narayan Gopal, further enhancing the audience’s enjoyment.

Flavors of Nepal restaurant is known for welcoming and honoring Nepali artists. In the past, artists like singer Badri Pangeni, Sindhu Malla, and many others have been honored here. Singer Dhakal mentioned that the love and support from the Australian audience has inspired him to return again. “Seeing the immense love from the audience makes me want to come back again,” Dhakal said.

One of the attendees described Flavors of Nepal as a prime destination in Sydney for those who want to savor Nepali cuisine.

After completing his musical tour of Australia, singer Dhakal is now preparing to perform in various cities in the United States.
