Press meet organized by GNDC to prepare for the annual Alpha & Omega Futsal Tournament conclude

Sydney – On Saturday, September 14, Grace Nepali Diaspora Community (GNDC) organized a special press meet to announce the schedule and preparations for the upcoming 3rd Annual Alpha & Omega Futsal Tournament on Sunday, September 22. The program started with the prayer of Jivan Rayamajhi pastor of Gospel Nepali Church.

Simon Raj Bhat, founder of GNDC and coordinator of Futsal tournament, informed about the history, objectives and future plans of GNDC at the program held at Sydney Nepali Church. The event was attended by about 25 players, leaders and observers from five Sydney churches.

Pastor Anil Shrestha of UNCC Church Liverpool mentioned that GNDC played an important role in maintaining unity, brotherhood and harmony among Nepali congregations, and said that this futsal tournament provided a common platform to the Nepali Christian community in Australia.

Director of the program and secretary of GNDC and captain of Grace Football Club Saran Chhetri presented the rules and other information of the competition and called upon all the congregations to cooperate for the success of the competition.

The event was streamed live from GNDC’s Facebook page for congregations outside of Sydney. The media team of Sydney Nepali Church provided technical support for the event.

The program ended with a prayer by Elder Tej Prajapati.

Remember, this year’s Alpha & Omega Futsal Tournament will feature a total of 20 teams, with 7 teams from Sydney, 2 from Canberra, 1 each from Hobart and Brisbane.
